Sean is an unapologetic creationist and his leisure interests include deep sea fishing, cryptography, alternative energy, sustainable living, science fiction, aliens, UFOs, the study of ancient and forbidden knowledge and the search for the ultimate chocolate mint ice-cream. |
Lately, Sean is bartering food and services with people in Midleton, East Cork and surrounding areas. |
Sean has worked in the software industry since 1987, when he joined GFK Technology who marketed the “Take Five“ range of accounting software. In 1993 he developed their milestone Windows product, “Take Five Retail”, and in addition to this development was responsible for software quality, testing, documentation and technical support across their entire product range. |
He also undertakes bespoke work and takes projects through all stages, from requirements through to design, specification, coding and finally documentation. Types of bespoke work undertaken include Job Costing, Billing Systems, database front ends and specialist communications programs. |
In latter years, he has worked with Cassidy Technology to develop the TouchStore range of software which is the market leader in the retail pharmacy sector. With full specification back office and intuitive POS front end, it has set the benchmark for others to follow. Since its launch, Sean continues to provide enhancement and maintenance services for this system. |
Living in splendid isolation in rural Cork, Sean spends much of his time in figuring out how to turn imagination into practical reality. He also grows his own vegetables and fruits for the table. |
